The weekend is coming! Stay strong!!

Stay strong! The weekend is coming! This doesn't mean its a free for all for weekends. The best way to enjoy your weekends and still stay healthy and fit, is to give yourself a moment to enjoy things, such as sharing a dessert or having a glass of wine. Don't give yourself the whole weekend to dig in to bad habits.
Your success is only as worthy as your dedication. So a good rule to live by is an 80-20 rule!
That means you should eat clean and healthy and workout 80% off your week and 20% of the time you can let loose a little more. Give yourself that treat or take a rest day. Your body needs it for recovery.
Enjoy the weekend, but make sure not to retact all the progress you made during the week!
Have a great weekend!
PS. Those of you going to Stagecoach this weekend. Have a great time. Be safe!!

Getting Started is the Hardest Part!!

We all have to start somewhere..No matter what adventure it may be, you can do it!! We all feel lost at the beginning. Less coordinated, unknowledgeable, uncomfortable, maybe even a little intimidated. But that shouldn't stop you or anyone one else from starting something new! You should welcome it as a challenge!!!
Exercise is one of the hardest things to start up! It is frightening to those who do not know what they are getting themselves into. We see infomercials of workouts that look like you will die if you attempted that workout. But NOT all workouts are like that! Most are tailored to your fitness needs! You need to find a place like Sweat Cardio and Yoga or something like it in your area that will be able to modify your workouts to your fitness level and your overall goals!
Research where you are going to be working out at and what kind of class you will be taking ahead of time. Find out what qualifications your trainer has. You should feel welcomed when you walk in! Find a friend to go with you for support and encouragement. Bring water and a positive attitude with you and the rest is a breeze.
Try classes like Yoga, Sculpting, Zumba or Spinning. There are options for every fitness level.
If the class is 1 hour, make your goal to take at least 30 minutes. If you feel good, keep on going .
It may be tough, but "What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger". Famous quote from a lot of people but sung perfectly by Kelly Clarkson.
Sing a theme song in your head as your working out. Tell yourself you can do it! And you will be able to!
Remember that the first time is the hardest time. After your mind and body know what to expect, it is always easier.
Feel free to contact us via email or through our blog, or facebook with any fitness questions! We are hear to help.

Interval Training is Key to your Fitness Success!

Cardio training, Strength training and Stretching/mind body yoga are all important! And for many people the next level to success is plyometrics, sprints or high intensity training to put them above the rest!
The reason for this is your body becomes adapted to the same thing. Like you are on auto pilot. Imagine your job at work, if you did the same thing every day, you would eventually get sick of it. You need to spice it up!! Fortunately, it is much easier to change your fitness routine, than change your daily job tasks.
Your body gets used to the same thing over and over again and will soon plateau and become accustomed to your regular daily habits. Some exercise is better than nothing if you only like one type of exercise.  There is more than one thing everyone should like in order to get your variety of exercise in weekly. Broaden your horizons!
Your goal for the next few weeks is to try something new!! If you are always doing cardio classes, then try something like kettlebell, RIPPED, or Yoga!!  If you are always weight lifting or doing sculpting classes, try ZUMBA! or kickboxing or Spin!!
Do not be intimidated to try something new! We have all been there before in some way or another and have had our first time at it too! Welcome yourself to the challenge! Make your body question what you are doing so you can get out of your rut or transition to new things!
Skies the limit!!
Make it a new day for something new!!
Your mind and body will appreciate it and will show you by giving you  RESULTS!!!

Fit Tip #1

Fit Tip #1: Exercise is only 30% of your success. The other 70% is nutrition! If it is white, except cauliflower, it is probably not natural and pure. Choose foods that are green or come from nature. This is a good start to the next level of health and fitness you want to achieve.
We encourage everyone to make healthy choices when they are planning their meals for themselves and their families.
We are going to start adding healthy recipes and healthy options of yummy fattening foods to our website www.sweatcardio.com and this blog if anyone has some to share. Please email them to info@sweatcardio.com Pictures with your recipe are even better and we would love to mention who donates the recipes.
